Stem angle for TT bike

Stem angle for TT bike

Postby mirandag_01 on Thu Jul 29, 2010 5:05 am

I have a stem that slopes down instead of up on my TT bike. I have a remote wind sensor to use with the TT bike. If I use a normal low angle stem mount I can still ready my iBike easily and using the remote wind sensor I figure the wind sensor is fine. If I calibrate the tilt like this is there any reason why readings wont be accurate or it wont work? Or does velocomp produce a stem mount for this type of situation?

I'd prefer not to use the Topeak extenders if I can get away with a regular stem mount.

The stem slopes downwards at an angle of about 12 degrees.

With a RWS your iBike will work just fine. The downward pointing angle isn't a problem for power calculations.
